This is the winning concept of a bird preservation contest in which the goal was to design a headpiece that could be given as a souvenir to raise awareness. It captures the essence of these birds at risk while
celebrating its unique traits.
Inspired by the duality of male and female characteristics in the species, the headpiece design elegantly showcases the vivid, eye-catching colours of the male, symbolizing its bold presence. Intricately woven into the design are elements representing the three females, embodying their vital roles in nest-building and blending seamlessly with their surroundings for protection.
This concept not only honours the beauty of the species but also serves as a powerful reminder of the importance of conservation efforts in safeguarding their habitat and ensuring their survival for
generations to come.
